Come on in, the water's fine!

So much for having more regular updates.

However! I will say that the updates I have now are pretty darned exciting.

First and foremost, I got a grant! Woo hoo! That will make paying for editing and consultation and head shots a lot easier, especially considering much of the money I WAS going to use for such things has been redirected into hip surgery for my beloved, Mousse. Thankfully, she is recovering well and is expected to be back in the lake in no time.

Next, I finished the book proposal! Or at least enough of it to warrant another meeting with my writing coach. (And only 4 months after her original deadline!)

Also, while Mousse was recovering, I read the whole book from start to finish and got a lot of my own editing done. Turns out there's a lot of stuff in there that's repetitive. Many of you will also be happy to know that I have decided to add an epilogue. You have my editing friend, Laurie, to thank for that. Let's hope it doesn't take me another four months to finish THAT!

Finally, I got some professional head shots done by a photographer friend, so I can submit something with the book proposal, should the need arise. (Fingers crossed)

Now all that's left to do is tweak a few query letters, meet with Nancy, and take the big plunge!
